What is the source of the title 'Strafford'? Omassey 09:42, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Follow-up

[edit]

Forgive me if I am missing the point, but it looks to me as if the article still does not have anything on the derivation of the title. Shouldn't it have something about this? I am, believe me, no peerage expert but I think we usually link places? Cheers DBaK (talk) 08:38, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Isle of Dogs connection

[edit]

Does anyone know the link between Strafford and th eIsle of Dogs in the east-end of London? I bought a flat there and the various legal docments mention a Strafford as one of the owners back in the mid-1980's. There area also references on road names and in the restored stained glass of a former church. but I can;t find any reference of what the link with the area is - maybe ust a big land owner. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.201.170.139 (talk) 10:27, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
